Gorilla Tubs Reach New Heights

Red Gorilla has been experiencing strong growth against some tough economic conditions and the recent bad weather to support independent retailers at the National Merchant Buying Society (NMBS) event this month at the Ricoh Arena. The NMBS show gives merchants the opportunity to see buyers face to face and support independent building retail and merchant suppliers with products that builders want.

Having increased the staff levels at the show this year they had expected to see more customers, with a target in line with their 2020 Vision of +20%.

Chris Birch, National Sales Manager, explains “our order totals have just come in at 40% up on last year, which shows how retailers are really coming back to our brand after trying non-branded cheaper tubs. The feedback we’ve had from retailers is that they’re not worth the bother. This is great news for us, having worked so hard over the last 15 years to support independent retailers with a British brand and service they can rely on.”

Chris continues “it’s never easy (and certainly not cheap) to be the best and provide retailers with the level of service befitting a modern environment, but it’s what we do. To see recognition coming back in bucket loads is fantastic for the entire Red Gorilla® team.”

Managing Director, Dean Cox, said “I’m thrilled for the team who pride themselves on excellence. We run a very lean business and I’d like to think we’re always listening and learning. I’ve always that said if you work hard, listen to customers and add a few ideas in of your own; it eventually pays off. I’ve already asked the team to work towards a 40% increase at next year’s NMBS show!”
