Betty Baker

Betty is a 16 year old event rider based in Coventry

Hi I'm Betty!

I am currently studying for my GCSE's whilst competing my two horses and two ponies.

I am very lucky as I have an incredibly supportive school just around the corner from my yard, which allows me to keep all of my horses fit and ready for the event season.

I also ride, sell and school horses for clients as well as train on our own homebreds, who hopefully will be future superstars!

I also attained my Pony Club "B Test" at 14 years old, one of the youngest people to achieve this!

My goal is to compete at Badminton Horse Trials.

Betty's Stable

Cash Is King

Cash is a 6 year old chestnut gelding who we've recently purchased and is proving to be a star!

After having him for just over a week we came second in our first event together at Aston Le Walls.

I am hoping to compete him in Juniors and U18s, then all being well Young Riders!

TallyHo Charlie

Charlie is a 14 year old grey gelding.

Charlie was a quirky ex-showjumper when we first got him, and I have produced him from our first BE80 to FEI Pony Trials.

This year we made our Pony Trial debut and we have gone clear cross country at every competition, including Brand Hall BCPCCI* and the British Pony Championships.

The highlight of this year was our international debut at Haras Du Pin for the CCIP**, where finished 11th individually and 2nd for Team GB!

Hollyfast Lexi

Lexi is a 13 year old homebred mare.

I have produced Lexie from our first ever event to going double clear around our first Pony Trial at Oasby this year.

Our achievements include being selected for the U18 Championships where the team came 4th, winning the BRC 100HT championships, becoming the Area 7 PC Intermediated Eventing Champion, double clear at Oasby Pony Trials.

Next season we hope to be selected again for the U18 teams.

Clohamon Grey

Smokey is a 7 year old gelding who I have broken and produced myself.

Smokey is confidently jumping around BE100 and we are hoping to move up to Novice next season. We are also hoping to qualify for the Badminton Grassroots Championships next year.

Some achievements include coming 5th at the BRC 100 HT Championships, qualifying for the BRC Dressage and Showjumping Championships and coming 3rd at the BEJT 2016 Championships.
